The blue tube on my 980 comes off and on quite a bit. I saw a post a while back with another person with the same problem. Anyone have any suggestions? I am running my hddvd player 1080i component to my hdleeza processor and outputing 1400x788p@75hz via rgbhv. I also have a faint horizontal scan line right in the middle of the pic.

Does your blue tube flickers with test patterns as well?

Then try to swap green and blue input cables. Maybe not the projector itself is faulty.

Yep,I'd say source, signal or processor or cable issue. A bad input board would be rare but possible) on the NEC chassis. I do have spares if you need one.

I like the pic quality when things are working right but for the most part blue flicker is killing it. is a board going bad? should i clean the contacts or try re-seating all the connections? im still running 1400x788p 75hz from hd-dvd to hdleeza processor to pj via rgbhv. suggestions? |
Specifically I think they recomended swapping the blue BNC connector from the Leeza with the green BNC rom the Leeza to see if the problem is coming from the source. Of course the pic will look wierd but we're trying to see if the problem moves to a different tube.
