Hello guys, I have what appears to be a hair/fuzz in my DLP projector. It is an Optoma HD65.

So far I have:

-blown air through all the ventilation holes using my compressor
-removed the lamp and blew air into lamp and lamp area
    -vacuumed all around ventilation holes

The hair was still there! Also when the internal fan speeds up the object moves more and is projected on screen.

Anyways, what is the best way to proceed? It's not that visible when content is playing, but when I ceiling mount the projector the object will reside in the bottom right corner. Should I risk opening the projector?

Thanks,
John

Can you see the hair if you look into the lens with the pojector on? Put up an all black screen and look directly in. Don't use anything bright because that could kind of hurt your eyes.

I projected just a black image and looked around inside the lens. I could not see any hair, there did seem to be a lot of dust inside though.

Also I found out that when you use the zoom and focus adjustments the object stays in it's position and does not move with the screen. For example, if you were to zoom in the object would be off screen.

Thanks for your time!
