I like to have different gamma curves set up with MEMA, MEMB, etc.
Given that the Radiance has several CMS memories, do you calibrate a few for different gamma factors or do you just pick an easy one like 2.2 (default in Calman and bright) and then use the gamma factor setting to dial it up as needed?
If the latter is there a remote code shortcut to get to the gamma setting buried deep in the menu?

I don't ever use auto calibration for CRT as it really just makes a mess. But you can adjsut gamma factor after calibration to season to taste. However, if you are using the gray scale in the lumagen for adjustments you should probably go back and redo gray scale adjustments after the gamma factor is changed.
You can setup several CMS's to have different gammas for different programming. I usually use a lower gamma for 3D than I do with 2D for example. Sometimes it's also nice to have a lower gamma for TV off Sat and cable because often the brodcasts are comressed and look too dark. A lower gamma helps this to some degree.

Thank you. Sounds like it is better to build separate curves (eg: 2.2, 2.3, 2.4) into memory and only fiddle with the gamma setting for fine tuning. I do not want to have to redo greyscale after switching gamma factor, plus the gamma factor is buried too deep in the menu to be constantly going there as the program changes.

Menu>output>cms>gamma factor
Not that deep.
