I have a non-working Vision One and working Vision 2 with the Ferrari like Vidikron casings that I need to sell. Has anyone used Ebay as a viable outlet to sell these? I really do not want to ship due to the sheer size and weight of these. I suppose however if someone really wanted these and were willing to cover all cost of having crates made I would ship but it just seems like a major headache. Has anyone here ever done crate shipped for a projector this size before? As cool as they are I can't keep them anymore and I don't think I'll ever get around to fixing the Vision One.

I may also remove the Vidikron cases from both and sell those separately. That I don't mind shipping. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

At this point people are indeed giving these things away. Sad

I could use the Vision 1, and the Vision 2 for parts. Thinking of heading your way in March if that would work for you. Would save packing and shipping, etc.

Depending on tube condition, I'd certainly throw some $$ your way for the sets.

I don't know what restaurants you have been going to but I'll pass on the dog. I'll stick to the chicken.

Wood Crate's are about $500. custom built last time I was quoted on one. It takes me about 3 hours and 50 bucks in lumber to make one so that's not unreasonable. You still have to pack it with chunks of loose foam, bubble wrap etc.
The other option is to get a double wall gay-lord box, and do a foam-in place. The FIP is wrapping the PJ in a plastic bag and using expanding foam to fill in all the gaps around it, it cost me $250. for a Vision 1 I bought a few years ago + another $250. in freight.

I think he meant how many units, not how many different movies you can watch on one.

Guys

I just declined to buy a Vision Two here in town, it is 9.5 minty with a gloss black case to die for, but even for $550 I know I'd be pulling boards out of it and junking the rest........and I already have a lot of boards here.

Thanks for a reply that I could actually use. Laughing The Vision 2 came in a crate but it was so huge there was no way I was able to transport back to my house let alone store in my garage. If you had seen my wife's face when she saw the the two projectors, had I taken the create I would have been sleeping in it.

Do you still have my info from last time? Seeing as I've done nothing since summer there is a good chance they will still be here in November.

I think so. I'll email you when I head down that way. Could be before March, it will all depend on my workload and the weather.

Cheers!
