Been gone for a few years setting up a new business but decided to dust off the old XG's and get one of them up and running again. I am about to swap tubes from my75 to my85. Are the focus and deflection coils identical? Can I just leave the tubes intact and swap them out without blowing anything up or reducing PQ or adjustability?
Thanks,

What is the reason for swapping the tubes? Youll need to do the astig anyway so why not just slide the stuff off the necks as you pull them out?

I suppose you're right, I just hoped that it would save a bit of work to leave them intact if there was no difference in the electronics. The reason I'm changing the tubes is that the red and blue are 9's opposed to a 6 and an 8, The green is not great on either unit but it's still better than what's in the 85 now. Wish I could find a good price on a new green tube but in the meantime I'm Just hoping to give the projector a bit more life until the 4K Red Laser projector is released.
