Hi,

SO I was trying to get the the bottom of some "scan line" looking issues towards the bottom of the green tube on my 9500LC so I swapped in another hdm just to try it and that did not do me any good. Now not only is there that problem but things went really haywire. I not have "snow" on adiagonal pattern across the green tube. I put the old hdm back in and the issue is now there on that one too! ANy thoughts? HD video of the green should be up soon.

SO bummed. I was hoping to watch Avengers tonight...

Thanks

GOd bless...

Go into your G2 settings and make sure the G2 didnt move. Sometimes this happens .

Also make sure the two black wires for the heater element on the VNB's are not pushed up against the Op Amp. pull them off into an arc
above the chip. The best thing to do is to move the Wires onthe underside of the VNB and put a ferrite bead around them.

HI,

So I think it might be a bad Verticle Board. My spare one is bad and in the swapping process I managed to take out the good one I have. The "good" one was making a buzzing noice from on the the chips on the green channel, so I am hoping and praying it was the porblem to start with. ANy got a Vert bd they would sell at a good price?

Thanks

God bless...

That buzzing noise can be the caps. Some times using hot glue to bond the three caps together will eliminate the buzzing.

I doubt that was the issue as I touched each one to see if it would quiet it down w no change.

on the vertical board it`s mainly the ceramic caps that makes those noises and not the electrolytics.
if you want to get rid of the noise replace them with the same value pp wimas.

HI,

I don't really mind the noise too much, but I think that buzzing started at the same time as the "video noise" on the screen started.

THanks

God bless..
