I'm going to be shipping a set of tubes and was wondering if the metal frame around the tube face comes off.
I unscrewed the outer frame and now I notice what looks like a white cement type of stuff covering maybe some screws.
Not sure if that will do it or not.

Dow and others make a crazy expensive solvent that attacks/dissolves practically-impossible-to-remove silicones. I am curious about trying some out on a D50 tube's face metal ring thingy AND on HVPS potting compound. Anyone got a junk D50 tube I could experiment with? I'll can cover the cost of shipping and would report back here.
