HDFury 1 + longer hdmi cable

Currently trying to find a HDFury 1 to fix hdmi handshaking issues (annoying optoma).

But does a HDFury like a long HDMI cable (10 meter high speed)? If i get one secondhand i probably won't get the powersupply. I do have a spare repeater with separate powersupply - i could install that one in between the HDFury and the longer HDMI cable. Seems like a fine solution right?

Or should i start looking for another cheap and easy fix :s
