Hi all Right now I am using my Pioneer SD-643HD5 with a Panasonic DMR`ES46V. I had a Fury 2 before I moved three months ago. Not sure where it is. I did find the Fury 1 and connected it thru a VP30. I get a picture but unstable. I do not have a power supply with the Fury 1. Would a power supply cure my unstable picture? Confused

I think a power supply is essentially a requirement with the Fury 1 and 2. It may work without, but I think it's a crap-shoot. How long is the analog cable between HD Fury and the Pioneer?

I am going to pick up a power supply from Monoprice Monday that is 5.0v/1.0AM. Hope it will fit. Anyone with a Fury 1 have used this power supply?

Just make sure you get the polarity right or you can damage the HDFURY

Thanks AR.

On the Fury 1 how do you know which polarity is the correct one?

It's centre pin negative.

- Provide REGULATED (+/- 5%) 5VDC power with 0.5A min DC current
> - Deliver the power through a small 0.65mm diameter center pin / 2.6mm outer diameter DC plug (like the one often used in cellular phone AC adaptor)
> - Provide the correct polarity with 'plus' on the OUTER part of the plug and 'minus' (ground) on the small center pin of the DC jack.
> Trying to use an AC/DC adaptor that doesn't adhere to these three requirements may destroy the HDFury.

Hi AR,
Thanks for the detailed info.
I stopped by Monoprice this morning and the power supply they had would not fit the Fury 1. The hole in the Fury was too small.

Does anyone know where to get the correct power adapter from for the Fury 1?

I just got a reply from the Fury people saying I should not need a power supply for Fury 1 up to 1080i. Anyone else use a Fury 1 without a power supply with good results?

It completely depends on the source. If the source doesn't put out enough power then it just won't work.
Hence the need for a power supply.
