A CRT projector doesn't have a native resolution.
It draws the picture as you feed it, if you feed it with a low res signal like 480i you'll get big spaces between scanlines, which looks annoying, with increasing the resolution the scanlines get closer and closer to one another, this way a CRT can project an image where every line is overlapping this is where you go beyond the capabilities of the tube (focus system)
I think an 1208 can resolve over 1000 line in 16:9 AR
