The long lenses like that might be for long throw distance. They weren't very popular because of the loss of light output.

Yes, I just enjoy the big amount of lenses available for CRTs. I also guessed they might be long throw because of their size, and I do like shorter throws too. I saw the difference on the same screen in light output with a 8" LC machine, using lenses throwing 1:1 (HD117-12); 1:1,2 (HD215); and then 1:1,8 (HD10 on 8").
That these lenses on Ebay are ancient is the info I was looking for, because they are then not worse the hassle. Probably someone knows the generation of CRT projectors they were used for, then I know how ancient....

Delta II was good old 7" CRT like the Barco 600. Glass was considered an upgrade.
