Hey guys

Im not sure if this the correct location to post this thread but Im considering selling my marquee 9500 lc ultra but im not sure what I should sell it for.
Just for info I live in Denmark and can send it worldwide if necessary.

Ive put brand newEisemann LUG tubes in it about 6 months ago. The tubes have run less than 70 hours.

New bellows

All the mods done by Dragnm

Marquee fan mods

The Barco has been been coated white at a pro auto carshop. and looks new.

The reason for selling it is that when ever I have a problem with it there is nobody in Denmark that nows about CRTs. Its getting a bit annoying. A few days ago I saw that one of the tubes was leaking glycol. So now i cant see movies until this problem is fixed.
Im a bit tired of these small problems occuring after having spend so much money after it. And im not that much of an expert in these projectors myself so I think I will just sell it and get something else like a Runco or something.
If the problem with the Glycol leakage is fixed you have an outstanding projector, but has to be done by the one who buys it.

Under all circumstances. What the projector worth?

My serious guess is less than what you paid for the tubes. If no one is using the sets there, then there\s no demand for it in Denmark, which means shipping, and that's expensive. Considering what you've put into the set, why not get it running? you'll take a loss on the money you put into the set.

I dont mind. As I said there are some few In Denmark who has these CRTs but nobody knows how to repair these.
The problem is that if I have to get it running again I have to get somebody From another country to fix the problem for me and that not cheap either. Im just getting a bit tired of it all so i Think ill take the losses that is included.

WEll, tell you what. Before you sell it, PM me the best offer you have, and I'll see if I can do better. No sense in lowballing you right now.

Shipping to me is about $600 with the discounts I get, and I realized that I won't get charged duty as the set is made in North America.

I would drain the leaking glycol though to prevent chassis damage. If the motherboard gets glycol on it, the chassis is more or less worthless.

My friend has a M9000, I refurbished it for him, once he tried to sell it he advertised it for 540€ (so twice at least for your's) only here in Hungary and got mild interest, but later he changed his mind and didn't sell it.
But I don't like your approach. These CRT projectors aren't that difficult to repair at all, I would say every trained tv service men could repair them, if they have the schematic. Other than that the glycol leakage is a good diy job, this site is full of with marquee maintenance tips (including LC tanks), keeping spare parts for crts aren't too luxurious sport either nowadays.

I understand, but at the moment I dont want to spend a single dime on it anymore. My estimate is that ive spend 20000 euro on the cost of the projector, the upgrades, repairs etc. This is the third time some minor thing has happended to it and im not the guy who can fix it nor do I know anobody in the country. Service men will also charge me quite a bit, and im just fed up.
I just wanna watch a movie and not worry about when a minor thing goes wrong I cant watch a movie for the next 3-4 months. too much of a hassle. Ive put too much love and dedication to this projector and now ive given up. Ive been extremely unlucky but cant continue anymore.

whoever installed or mounted the tubes should warranty their work IMO after only 6 months.

It was done by a guy who lives in another country, and its not a firm. Obviously warranty issues doesnt come in consideration here. He could do it for free, But if I take the Tubes off and ship it to him its going to cost me + im not able to but the thing back on again. If I get the guy to come here and fix the machine I still have to the expenses again in getting here from the northern part of sweden. either way is not cheap. Im tired of throwing more money at it.
