I was trying to adjust the astig on my nec starring at those pesky dots thinking wow are my eyes playing tricks on me or what . you stare at those dots long enough and they seam to change without adjusting anything.
Sure you can stand nice and close to the screen to do allot of adjustments, but try doing the magnets that way,or try adjusting the focus pot.So I came up with an idea that helps me and hopefully It will help some of you.
I setup a small tv real close to the projector wear I can see it easily, and when I have my head stuffed under the hood,of the projector.
I set a video camera up in front of the screen and run cord to the tv and walla..! Now I get to see that closeup picture on the tv with out my trifocals on. Sure made adjusting magnets a hole lot easier. and It also made it ideal for focusing the lens , ETC......

Also You can use a digital camera, it helps too and has better lenses to focus the tiny dots

No point being pessimistic; it probably would't work anyway.

I just display mine on a old crt monitor but really all you need is a tv. even an old video camera works well..
