Anyone else ever tried setting the master convergence on a CRT rear projection TV? Namely an LG??

This thing has something simular to the point convergence on projectors, but its nigh on f***en useless, you end up with crooked lines everywhere if its out abit in one area ( which it is... ) I reckon i can get it perfect, but this could take DAYS... Picture would be ultra sharp on this thing if i spend days on it too...

Give me the ease and well thought out perfection of the NEC projector convergence system any day, i hope no other CRT projectors have any system like this one on the rear projection LG....

Usualy they have an user interface for convergence setup, but to get full access setup you have to enter to the service menu.
I had the honor to set up convergence of a thomson and a sony rptv. Please tell us the exact modell number, and we can help how to enter to the service menu. It is also handy to get the service manual, because the service menus are usualy not so user friendly because they are full of abbreviations which you don't know always what they actually mean.
On the thomson (ITC222) there was only point convergence, on about 80 points. The sony (can't remember which chassis) had a NEC-like setup procedure with keystones, linearity, pincussion, bow, skew, etc.

I know how to get into the service menu, that is where the master convergence is done!! Ive got the service manual, which tells what everything is. It has a few adjustments, most of which are far too coarse to be able to get it perfect.

The standard convergence is single point in the center, in the service menu it is multi point.
