Yes, I have one and it will allow you to deal with HDM ringing. Best $225 you will ever spend.
Why don't you post this in the CRT or VP forum? This is the forum where all the convervatives argue with the socialists; don't dilute their conflict.LOL

Heres the rub, I have no idea what to do with it. I hear people talk about having one all the time but not sure I could even make it function in my favor. Is it a set it and forget it type deal ? Or is it something I need to learn and understand and adjust on a regular basis ?

It all depends on how far you want to take it. I used custom porch timings to expand the size of the overall raster and shift the ringing out of the image (took a lot of trial and error to figure it out) and also to run the resolution 1920 x 800P for 2.35/2.40 aspect ratio material. Thank god for Nashou66 help!! I was very happy with the end result.
Please, post in the correct forum (CRT is a good start:-)) to get maximum visibility and help with your questions.

I dont know enough about it to make it work correctly more than likely. I just thought if it would help the PQ without a lot of hassle it seemed like a good deal. I want everything to "just work" as steve likes to say. If it creates more issues for me than it solves then I wont mess with it.
I get the feeling someone isnt saying NO to me because They just dont wanna say its over my head and I would be wasting my time.
Its OK I can take it, Tell me what you think.

Jeff I have the Vision HDP Pro very similar, it's DVI also. Without HDMI, if I were you {or me} avoid the added pain in the ass, one more thing to learn and watch over, just to get a picture....I can't stand the thing, it is over my tolerance level.
And no matter what anyone says the 1080p image has scaling artifacts, the one on one Off boxes on the DVE disc oscillate with the Lumagen in my video chain, with a straight cable to the Moome card it's perfect.
Now it does do 800p pretty good but push one wrong button, and your in for a day long event to figure out what happened.
But if your going to bring out Craig again then it won't really matter he'll set you up good. And Right

Dave, Like you said. its over your tolerance level! I wish I lived closer man id have had you set up and you would have loved your marquee Lumagen combo. I just think you had it all set up wrong. Now having said that and the history Jeff had with the G70 he might be in the same boat. However if you have that in the set up and have a pro, like Craig, come back it would make his life easier. And with out Craig it would make your life harder, Unless you have patience , and lots of it. Justin had many issues as well but he over came them and has what he was aiming for.

So just like any other tool (a screwdriver, wrench, carving knife) it's useless if you don't know why you need one and how to use it.

BINGO!
I was frustrated as hell but Tom went out of his way to help me. Once I get my tube issue sorted I'll have 9" Nirvana
Jeff, if you pick up the HDQ I'll try to pay it forward.
Cheers,
Justin
