I saw the ad yesterday for 250. Ad is now gone assuming it was snagged. Ad was 20 minutes old when I viewd it. Anyone here? And no I was not going to call.

Prob flagged assuming this was on CL and removed. Hard to believe a NIB G90 for $250 would be legit.

if it was legit and the guy got 100 e-mails in 5 minutes then it probably will be re-listed soon for a much higher price Wink

I could believe someone would sell a NIB G90 for $250. Maybe he just wanted it gone and didnt care what it was or was worth? Maybe he had no idea what it was worth... Many reasons for it to be legit.

I'll bet someone snagged it. Kudos to the new owner if this is the case! Very Happy

If someone did buy it, it's likely they'll end up on this forum at sometime. Just wait.

It is also possible whoever was going after the projector had access to multiple IPs and had the ad flagged so he/she would not be out bid on the price. Probably tin foil hat territory but I have heard of it happening. I still wonder who go the three 909s in LA for $900.

As for the 909s in LA, they existed, but were actually 808s units. I corresponded with the guy, and his 'associate' misread the label. THen his 'associate' took them 200 miles away, as my guess is that he thought they were worth a fortune. The guy I talked to seemed legit,, his 'associate' seemed flaky.

Was his associate the one who started the thread?

No, they apparently were out of some car simulator thing. I guess reading between the lines, the company wanted to get rid of them, and the poster had dibs. Then someone else (I made up the 'associate' tag) from the company snagged them, and took them 200 miles away. It's too bad, I was right in the area as well last week.

I guess I had some cred with him since he used the website link. As I said, he seemed legit, sounded outright pissed that some other staff member snagged them, but unless they show up on CL again for $10,000, I don't think we'll see them again.

And no, I didn't grab them, I'd be honest about them if I did. Smile

No offense, but I hope you wouldn't have paid $300 a pj for 808s. Shocked

Curt my money was on you or Greg for getting them when the thread over on AVS died. Sorry it did not work out. Wrong coast for me so it was nothing more than a spectator sport.
