LOL....I guess I broke the rules with posting an ebay link....oh well....no harm done....but just goes to show that either no one wants these anymore or they are just not holding value. Some one said last week it's raining free CRT's. When I see a 1209 on ebay going for 400 bucks it throws me off a bit with me scratching my head because it adds to other places with them popping up like a local classified the other day with a cine8 for 50 bucks. Another one last week which I was too late for had a XG1100LC for 100 bucks. What is driving it? I do not know.....but I am smiling and sorta sad at the same time. Perhaps we should hoard!!!...LOL

Hasn't happened around here, at least not often. Right now the only CRT listed in Colorado craigslists is somebody in south Denver trying to sell an NEC 6PG Xtra for $750 ! (Aubrey, is that you?? )

While that is a nice set it is clearly a regular Barco 1209 and not an S. The biggest issue with the 1209 non-S is that it does not have scheimpflug so the corner focus may not be very good if you don't get it placed just right and/or are using a screen size that is out of the sweet spot. Also it has the non-S video chain and standard res tubes vs. the later high res tubes included in the 1209S series. That is not to say it is not a nice set but it is a lesser 9" projector. It does show what even lesser 9" sets are worth today. That said if the seller went to the trouble of posting hours, pictures of it in operation and tube faces, he'd probably get a lot more interest.
