My wife has labeled me a projector hoarder. Unfair if you ask me. All I have done the last 2 years with these is fix them and give them to HERS and mine friends......usually for free. I had 12 at one point last year and now I have 4 left. One is in storage. Kurt has dibbs on parts for it. It's not like I plan on not using them. The other three are going to be in use at the house....Yes you heard 3 in use. One 1208S2 with HD-145 Lenses for the family room, one Runco DTV-947 for the living room, and one Vidikron Vision 1 for the mancave.

Me! Me me me me me!!!!!!

I have two 9500s in daily use, and will be building out two 8500 Ultras with nine inch tubes later this year to replace them.

And six more in the shop, no special plans for those.

Two Marquees; an 8500 and a 9500lc. I also have this odd habit of collecting projection screens and materials to make them. I have four frames and three peices of various screen material. My wife would rather have me lookin at nudies then going looking at projectors or screens like I currently am Twisted Evil
Which if anybody wants any material I'd be happy to send it to them just pm me.

I'd be on the lower end of the spectrum I think.

1 9PG in daily use.
2 6PG's with no plans
2 Sets of HD-145 lenses
2 Sets of PG tubes
1 8500 (started restoration)
1 8500LC (Going to restore)
1 SET OF G90 MAGNETICS

The spare room is full and the wife hates me.............

Few of you 8 or 9"LC folks can claim to have something so useless as the ECP spare parts I have on hand. THAT is what you call hoarding...which reminds me, I need to PM curt for some more bits before he scraps them...

I doubt there is a shortage of offers to "help" address his 9" tubes, ah, "problem"...

I was down to 3 projectors, but now back up to 4 and 1/2.

2 - 6PG Xtras
1/2 - 6PG Xtra (no tubes)
1 - Sony D50
1 - Sony G90

Wife is starting to "remind" me that I said I was going to get rid on some of these. Shocked

I've only ever had four different projectors, and I was only up to three at one time... Wink

I have a pretty small house, or I'd be a much worse hoarder than I already am. Laughing

I don't know if anyone has labeled me a hoarder, but I guess the name fits. Last year I had 7 pjs. Now I have 5 and that will be further reduced soon.

I'm so glad I have "Out of Africa" and similar stuff on Blu Ray. That helps keeping the WAF (Women Acceptance Factor) on a healthy level. Thank You Meryl Streep for keeping my hobby alive!!!
And thank god for the 2006 soccer world cup as my wife caught interest in watching important games. Watching those on the large screen and in HD has muted any questions like: "What do we need THAT for?"

I lost track of the parts and bits and pieces I've bought since 2006 when this forum infected me. Hey, yeah! It's not hoarding, it's an internet virus that makes us post and collect all these projectors and parts.

Hahahhah... CurtPalme.com... Instead of malware for your computer that starts filling up your hard drive with stuff you don't need, it's malware for your gray matter that fills up your garage and basement with sh*t you don't need!

I was once upon a time but not so much now (I think). I pretty much got rid of all my extra projectors, tubes and many of the spare parts I had about three or so years ago when I could see the writing on the wall. I figured at the rate I watch things that my existing projector and tubes would last me until the projector was 20 years old. I honestly doubt I'll be running a CRT 8 years from now (when the projector will be 20) but who knows if it keeps working. So basically I have one Runco 1100 and pretty much an extra board for every one it and a quad or two.

I am down to just 5 complete G90's, several crates full of G90 parts, a crate of G70 parts, a few sets of new 9" LUG's, who knows how many used 9" tubes, a few sets of new 8" tubes, and other odds and ends. I got rid of a few G70's and a few NEC projectors including a mint 1351LC... so I think I am doing well... getting better... right?

My wife keeps asking what I am doing with the crated mint G90 in the back room. The G90 came in a really nice box Smile

two Barco Graphics 808s modified LC
BOTH COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLED!!

Because I can't live in the my property house.
Unfortunately my wife had a WAF really really low, for projectors but especially for the my other women. Uh!

So I'm waiting to find a little house for me and my projectors.
