Hello

Boards that can be hit by tube arcs are nice to have as spares, so an HDM, a VDM, a convergence amp, a neckboard or two, and maybe a high voltage supply.

Regardless of what you keep as a spare, it will be the one that you don't have that will fail.

That's why you buy two from Curt as well, right?

Thank you for your feedback...now I know that I will need all boards and LVPS and HVPS...I should buy a Marquee as a spare Wink

I am lucky to have some components like an LVPS and also a Focus Board...on the focus board theres one capacitor out of order (with the red cap on the upper side).

Do you know where I could buy these? I think the 30VDC / 120 MFD capacitors are not available in "standard shops" Wink

I'd look at it another way: Considering there are a million MArquee boards and parts out there, why buy anything at all until it fails?

The sets are generally very reliable (just had a call from a customer that bought one off me 10 years ago, never a failure, never a service call, and all he wanted was some info on the HDMI card). Now, the disclaimer: Your results may vary. Smile

Why not just repair them if they go out? No reason to hoard.

I think you are right that it is also possible to repair....by the way: Can someone tell me what kind of "capacitor" this one is...I have marked it in the file attached. It says "CMT 30 VDC / 120 mfd"...but I can not find a capacitor looking like this at my known shops.
