|

1) Just thinking ahead about this.
the Service Manual 1-3-4. pg. 3-4
says to do MG focus Coil Angle Adjustment using P3?
Why P3?
2) I will probably leave this alone for now and do it later when I get the bug to tweak and risk my life ;-/
3) doing electronic MG focus.
Should I do it with the signals I'm going to use or with P2 and save to all ???
Thanks

Perform with the internal oscillator (without a source).
Perform a decent setup with P2. Save your best work for OSC P3 and P4. These will be the blocks that load for most of your sources.

Ok.
So MG focus done in P2 does get transferred to the higher frequencies.
Can I assume that I will still have to touch up MG when I input the higher frequencies ?

I'm fairly sure MG copies, but not 100%
That is why I recommend a basic setup with P2 and a more robust detailed setup for P3, P4.
My experience was MG focus did not change as dramatic as the geometry changed with increasing scan frequencies.
If you intend on 1080p, P4 is where you want to spend the 2nd most amount of time dialing in the convergence and geometry. You want to spend the most amount of time converging with your source.
