Before there was SIRI from Apple there was Marky from Electrohome. Its a voice activated system where you can say"converge quadrant one" and it will converge that quadrant. pretty cool stuff.
NOT!!!!!!
LOL i couldn't resist, its the remote sensor.

Does ACON work better on the marquees/vidikrons better than it does on the earlier ECPs? That is, might he have asked IF he should use ACON on his VV1 (9500) and not HOW? Also, is his VV1 likely to not hold convergence once setup? Curious both for him and for me should I move up to an 8500 or 9500...
In particular, I'd hoped the ACON on my ECP would help make the frequent drift/loss of convergence I see with my ECP less irritating to deal with. It didn't as it is both a bit wonky and doesn't do a great job.
cheers,
Matt

Just know two words:
ACON---------> BAD.
Seems that they work better in floor mount mode than ceiling mode due to the way the springs load the camera housing to the servos. Someone spent a bunch of time playing with the ACONs over at AVS when ECPs were going for $1000, and he modified the springs for the thing to work in ceiling mode, but you'll always do a better job setting the projector up manually.
