Hallo,

I got a Sony G70 with old ROM Vers.. From my PC I use a RGBHV-Cable to my G70 for HDTV and Blu-ray.

Yesterday I switched ABL on for auto G2 to get a better blacklevel.
Only the blue tube was running.
Green and red were not running.

If I switch ABL off, all three tubes were running again.

I check a Moome Card with HDMI input from a friend and have now problems in switching ABL on or off.
So I thing it must be a poblem with the RGBHV Input. What do you believe?

I have an old G70 for spareparts with bad tubes.

Is there anything I can change to fix the ABL problem on RGBHV Input?

Best wishes from Germany

This usually is due to older tubes with various emissions... at least that's what it seems to be to me. Newer sets with low hour tubes will show a good pix with the ABG on or off. Older tubes will be all over the map with the ABG off.

One other thing... If he has the older firmware, I think the controls should be like mine. When I turned off ABL to get rid of the pulsing at 1080p, I found out there was a huge difference between where G2 needs to be depending on whether ABL is on or off. I don't recall which direction it went, but I had to massively readjust G2 once I turned ABL off. The G2 controls are individual per-color controls, so it's possible that G2 on red and green are very low, and blue is high. When you turn ABL off, it reverts to those target G2 levels. Something to check, at least.
