Hello from Germany,

I use the Marquee with an HDPC over VGA(-BNC) - Resolution 1920x1080@50Hz, i have tested different refresh rates, same problem:

I set the Picture Size (V-Size) to 100 and on the CRT Phosphor surface left and right 6mm unused phosphor.

Can i change a resistor value to extend the adjustable range?

After i have new graphic card drivers installed the VGA Signal is not the same with the same settings.

White unused surface on the screen is horrible.

Sorry for my English!

DANKE! ( Very Happy )

Chris

Increase your timings in the HTPC. adding more total v resolution will move blanking areas out further , you might have to adjust
sync timings as well . So if the total is say 2300 add another 100 to 2400 and see what it does. It will take some fooling around to get it right. Leave the 1080 setting as are.

But before you do all that try adjusting your retrace time in the marquee. if its short try long or vice versa.

Hi Chris,

You can change a resistor but first I need to know where the problem comes from; Porches or from the projector itself.

If you put an internal grid on the screen (# button) can you fill the screen?

If yes then you should try Athanasios' tips. If the answer is no then you can change a resistor

see this link:

answer from Steve in that thread:
"Change R156 to 16k, this will give you more width.
Located under the Daughter Board" of the HDM board

I've tried it myself and it gives more width if your HDM board is good. My board has an issue so it stops increasing width around 35% allready (i guess some kind of a saturation)

Regards,

Ron

Thanks!!

I have tested different settings and the final Graphic Card Swap and tune with PowerStrip works great!

I have width at 96 and the screen is 100% filled! Thanks Athanasios!

@ Ron

If my Screen is 100% filled i have even 3mm unused Phosphor on the CRT Surface. But when i extend the screen width (actual 79") to 80" or more i must swap the Resistorīs or extend the Projection distance. I will use much as possible Phosphor on the CRT anyway it is generally to little. 8" Very Happy

Thanks @ all

Is my English text ok?

Greetings,

Chris!

Hi Chris,

Your english is fine.

If you have problems with english you can write in German to me because I'm Dutch and I can read and speak german but that would not be fair towards the other readers.

Glad you could solve the problem.

Cheers,

Ron.

Your welcome Chris. One more thing is to keep Sync timing grater than 1us, the marquee's do not like low timings. If you see waves or squiggles in vertical lines that is the reason.
