Is it possible to turn an Iscan HD into an HD+ without swapping hardware? Has anyone tried to push the HD+ firmware update onto an HD model? Anyway to get an HD to take a high def digital signal via the DVI port and put it through to the vga out (to my projector)? Is it not working because of HDCP???

Yep HDCP is not allowing the signal to be played on the BD player. A Moome MUX-HD would solve that. He has some left at 240 dollars.

Not sure about the firmware thing tho.

I was curious to know if the difference between the two products is hardware or software. It would certainly be handy if I could turn the HD into an HD+. So except for upconverting my dvd's, it is useless for my Blu-ray player since I have to downconvert the signal first.
