Is this cause they dont have a blue defocus switch and you need to run the blue harder to get a better grey scale and proper colours?

If i defocus the blue abit will i get more life from the blue before i get some wear??

I have 2x 1001QMs and the one i just got has no visible wear on the red or green, but very slight wear on the blue... The other one on the ceiling has no visible wear on any of the 3... Although it did when i got it... Not that you can see just how bad it was in these pics... but it was pretty bad....

Even the red did...

It seems that ES sets wear blue tubes and EM set wear the green tube first. There have been discussions on this before but I am not sure anyone actually explained the reason just the fact.

Hmm... The reason i came to think it is to do with the lack of defocusing the blue is cause when you flick the switch on the NECs, the difference in blue brightness is quite noticable...

Lack of blue defocus? You just tweak the focus knob a bit....

I guess all crt projectors had blue defocused when those leaved factory.

Maybe they have chanced to different blue phosphorus grade with EM tubes.
