Hi, I have the projector set up now and it looks pretty good the red and green are both focused really well. However the same can not be said about the blue. it is way off. it shows the most with white text. it will have a blue glow around it. I have tried adjusting the optical focus and have it where it is the best I can get but with the H pattern you can see just how far off it is. I have tried the electrical focus and have it as good as I can get that, but still the blue is off by as much as 50% I would say. I think once before I had some issues with getting the blue set up and I don't think I ever got it fully focused. is there some hidden feature or anything else I can do to get it focused? I can take a picture later and post if that helps.

thanks alot for the help

Yes please do. A bad focus board will usually display no error code on the back, but will be massively out of focus on the left and right sides, but OK in the middle. If you tweak the focus pots in the card cage, you'll be able to get good edge focus, but the center focus will be a mile off.

If that's not your symptom with the blue, then it will be a setup issue most likely. Astig and Scheimpflug play a huge part in getting good focus in an XG.

I do think that when my center is more in focus the edges are out of focus more and when the edges are in the center is out.

is it something that could be swapped out? I have another xg with a worn green tube but near mint red and blue. can I take the focus board off the xg I am not using and put it in this? Or is it like the power supplies and has to be set for the unit? (or what ever you have to do for the PS I forget now.....)

Look at the black stamped numbers on the boards. If both read either 2A4 or 3A5, then you can swap, but you can't swap between the different types, you'll get an F9 error code.
