Hello to everybody. I'm just starting in this forum. I would like to thank Kal for his very detailed guide for calibrating home theater TVs and projectors. I have the following question: I have the DVE pal version and regarding its use for the calibration procedure its not easy to use and several images are missing. I've seen in this post http://www.curtpalme.com/ChromaPure_EyeOneDisplay3.shtm
that there is a free calibration DVD from Chromapure to be used with their calibration software. I have downladed it and seems to have everything needed for the dumies guide. Is it ok to use it? Also is it NTSC or PAL coded?
Thank you

If it has all the patterns you need then you can certainly use it. I've never tried it myself.

The AVS709 calibration disc is also very popular. See: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=948496

I'm looking for some kind of calibration disc where you can get some sort of film related material to surround the test image..
I imagine a 15x15cm window for the colors and gray scale, and some kind of noise whit a mix of colors and saturation that could be like average film material.

I would like to test how much the calibration changes from the normal test images to displaying the film. And stress the players when calibrating, to see if there might be a difference in performance, thats not there when using the normal calibration windows.
