|
|
I saw in the FAQ the board was "plug and play." I have plugged but I am getting no play at all.
I know the source is working because when I run that same source through my HD Fury and into the RGB on the projector, it works great. When I run the HDMI cable directly to the PJ, no picture at all.
When the card is installed, and I plug in an HDMI cable, I see a green light on the HDMI input light. But I have not seen any other lights no matter what I do. In the XG menus, I have tried Input A, B, and C. Input A is the main card, and gives me the option of selecting S-Video and RGB. Inputs B, and C only give me the option of RGB. Should I be expecting some other input option? Certainly HDMI is not RGB, but perhaps the project doesn't know any better.
What else does one have to do to get a picture?

Hi Kal,
Yes, I did. Should I have expected any response in flashing lights on the card when I selected the HDMI port on the remote? (There was none I could see.)
Thanks!

Other than that I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else with an XG can chime in.

I thought they were new batteries, but I have not tried a second set. That is a good idea, and not a dumb question.
Thanks,

Actually katie the Moome card converts HDMI to RGB, so if the NEC has an RGB or RGBHV input id try that for the port the Moome is plugged into.

Thanks to all for the many suggestions. I think I have resolved this, an dit was easier and harder than expected. It turned out that if I wiggled the HDMI cable, and held it in just the right place, the picture showed up. I found this by accident when removing the cable from HDMI slot 1 and inserting it into slot 2. It is a very delicate place where it works.
Does this suggest that the cable is not quite right or that the HDMI slot on the card is not quite right? Or neither?
Again, thanks to all for the ideas. Without the certainty that it was slot B/RGB, with fresh batteries in the remote, I might not have played with everything else.
