|

I have a BG808 that I can't really get going.
My setup, Sony BDP-S300 -> HDFury2.
I have a port 3 cable that works great in 1080i mode.
I also have a 5bnc cable, but connected to the HD Fury, I can't get port 4 or 5 to work at all in any resolution. Sometimes an unsynced image will flash up.
I really want to run in 1080P. Does anyone have any ideas on what is wrong with my projector?

Port 5 requires negative sync but the fury2 outputs positive sync. Use input 3 as it will accept either......
You can build a simple positive to negative sync converter.

Why? Your projector will likely look best at 1080i. Both 1080i and 1080p are 1920x1080 resolution.
I have a higher end version of the same projector (a clone of the Barco Cine 8 Onyx) and run it at 1080i even though it can 'handle' 1080p.

If you are using the Port 3 board for 1080p then that might be your problem some Port 3 boards will not display 1080p. Use Port 5 in that case.
In any event Kal has the right suggestion.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will just enjoy 1080i.

Really? What source? Broadcast SD is mostly 480i as is DVD, Blu-ray is all 1080p. What 720p sources do you have?

I guess ripped Bluray... (as I watch 720P too in most of the time)
