An 8 inch blend is awesome. No need to spend money on two G90's save the money for the two VP's you'll need to get the CMS for both PJ's equal.

What will be your main source? Blu Ray satellite etc? Blending is best used for 2.4( scope) material.

My tubes are not High res but it wouldn't hurt having them, and the ones from Greg Eiseman are not that much more than other new tubes.

A little more info on what your using for source, blend, screen size etc would be helpful.

I am not using 422 for some reason the TV-ones can not accept that even though they keep telling me it can. Have you tried connecting them up at all to see if you get a picture with Blu Ray? for some reason it does not allow me to get a picture, all I get is snow. so i use the moome MUX-HD as my HDMI splitter to handle the HDCP crap.

So you have two Video Eq's for the CMS? that should work great!!! Now you need Calman v4 with the add on for automation and let the auto calibrate get you close. one thing that is cool about Calman you can add as many shades of grey up to 256 and from what Bob( Boilermaker) has told me you can also do that with the video EQ's so in essence you can calibrate 256 points of % white and its corresponding Gamma!! that would be a perfect blend!!!

And with that amount of control I bet you could even use used tubes id they already have 4:3 wear.

Where are you located olakjen?
