My barco cine7 suddenly blanked out but projector is still running. It indicates a Hold Down EHT red led status. What component should i change out? thanks.

Most likely the quad. If your feeling lucky the HV splitter and the remote chance would be the EHT module....

Before projector died, i occassionally hears a ticking sound, is this arcing? Where do i look for the arcing marks? The projector neck tube is still glowing faintly.

You cannot tell which part is bad without swapping it out . It most likely is arcing internally, you can't see the damage. If you want, send me the quad and EHT board to test in a set here.

I have a Runco DTV-947 with the same problem. I've swapped the HV drawer with another good 947 unit and the Hold Down EHT LED is still lit, while the good unit runs with the other drawer. The web site Cine 7 layout/setup tips don't mention the Quad as a problem for the Hold Down EHT LED fault, it directs us toward the HV section and/or shorted tube.
Please advise.
