whT CAUSES LOW LIGHT OUTPUT FROM A TUBE? IM SETTING UP MY PJ BUT MY BLUE IS VERY DIM. GREEN AND RED ARE VERY BRIGHT. XG-75

Two or three things:
-bad tube (very unlikely)
-bad neck board (more likely)
-bad AKB setting/memory glitch (most likely)
When in the service/adjust menu, go into the 'color balance' or 'Kelvin' menu, and see if the red and green dim down, and the blue comes up. Id so, hit 'store'.
if not, swap the blue and green CRT sockets/video amps and see if the green goes dim.

i dont know how you guys do it but these things require an engineering degree to set up! is there anybody in my area who might be able to help me out?

CRT at this point is very much a do it yourself thing. Have you followed this:

I think blue tubes are always pretty dim compared to red and green... human vision responds weakly to blue too.
