I just got two 9" tubes from Tim that he says are P19LCP09's... I just unpacked the tubes, but they have blue/blue guns, not white/blue that P19LCP09 tubes have usually. Does anyone know what blue/blue guns are? Are these P19LCP07's maybe? These also have the brown paint inside, not grey.

These are special green tubes as they are VDC P43 phosphor. They have VDC stickers dated 2011 with PT-22-19.

Also, pins 2 and 6 are both seem to be G2...

I am not so concerned what these tubes are as long as the G90 neck boards I modified are correct Wink I would like to have some expectation for the sharpness to shoot for as well.

Something about the thread title made me think of a witch that was inspecting the children she had lured into her little cottage with some tainted candy. I'm imagining Craig looking at these tubes suspiciously, one eye wide and one inspecting squintingly, as if they can't be cooked into the stew his been boiling up! "What tubes do I have here?...hmmm...."

good luck!

So Tim told me that "they" connected Pins 2 and 6 to G2 and that this in not typical for these tubes.

Still not certain what they are though.

I think my P18 8" tubes were blue/blue. So those might be the sharper type guns. I'm at work so i cant go look for you.

But here is a pic of the thomas electronics high rez tubes that have the sony MEX09 pin outs. These are Blue Blue and are High Res.

Hey Tom, if you get a sec to take a close up photo of the gun I would appreciate it. When I compare the looks of the guns in these blue/blue tubes they sure look like LCP09 guns and NOT like LUG guns.

which gun? the P18? I'll see what else I have lying around. Scott gave me some pics, I need to find the ones with titles, I have a few pics but not sure what they are of.
I think they are in the thread that askes about the sony MEW tubes in a Marquee. That is where i did the neck board mods for the Thomas tubes. I think i had pics in there from scott with a few different guns.

Also some of my Thomas guns have white white and from a phone call with Thomas they said they are also High Res. But I have heard from others only certain combinations are High res?

All the white/white I have seen are high resolution tubes. This blue/blue is not something I have seen very often before. Interestingly, I was at Blain's place working on his Marquee stack last week when I noted that one of his tubes had blue/blue insulators. The tube was also missing a pin and may have been modified internally to work with a stock Marquee VNC... now I will have to look at that tube more closely when I go out there next week!

The tubes I have here were modified internally for G2 on pins 2 and 6. They also do not appear to have a KH grid or connection on pin 7.

Hey Curt,

There I think are PT-22-19 and PT-22-22, but I am not positive. I suspect that the 19-19 is like a P19LCP09 and that the 19-22 may be like the LUG... but there is not much in the way of info on the P43 tubes that I can find.

Keep the info coming guys!
