So, after several months of enjoyment from my xg, I've run into some strange issues. I recently moved and have been in the process of setting up my xg again. Everything works fine and as expected with the xg and no error codes. However as soon as I connect it to my computer the computer hangs and the video on the other monitor distorts. Again no error codes are present at this point, and the projector continues as normal. I've tried with two different computers so I think that rules that out. I've also done tests to the cable and can't find any shorts/problems.

60 cycle ground loop? Put a multi meter across the video cable to the projector ( just one cable ) and see if there's an AC voltage there.

Well I tried a second working projector (pg xtra) and ran into the same issue. Put the meter across and found about 6v AC... tried different outlets and no dice....
Using an S-video ATM (yuck) on the xg and it works as expected.

Are you using an add in video card? If so does it have the chassis screw in it?
