Hi!
I want to use the pc control for my marquee 7500, but it isn't work at all. I have a brand new straight wired male to female rs232 cable (checked to work with a serial mouse) I use the "rs232 IN" port on the PJ. I've tried the program on win98, win2000 and XP on two different machine, but always get an error message when I check the connection. The serial port is set to 9600bps, 8N1. CLM version is 3.1
Thanks for help!

Make sure that the program is addressing the right port. I'm using Windows 7 for my control program, and the serial port originally was COM11. I had to make it COM1 by going through a number of dialogues in the driver properties. The control program only accepts COM ports 1-4 so it would be an issue if the port is addressed higher than one of those numbers.

Thanks! I have COM1-2 named right... I think somehow the CLM doesn't communicate (well) through the serial port.

Hello

Some newer control programs may need newer control board firmware revisions in the projector to work right, v4.0 or later perhaps.

Which version of the SW do you have? I have two versions of the Marquee Controler SW v2.2 and v2.3 The v2.2 does not work properly with my newer CLM, so perhaps it is for an older CLM.

cheers

We are in uncharted territory when chipping down. You want at least v3.3 with H linearity adjust, but v3.3 wants a certain IO
chip and a certain DPB U7 chip, and I am not sure if your backplane will react favorably. Ultras want minimum v4.0.

I have some older chips here but cannot be responsible if the backplane goes weird if you try them.
