Hi all,
I bought a BG808 and finally managed to get it up the ceiling. everything is connected properly to a moome box which is connected to a HTPC with a resoltion of 1280 by 720 with negative sync on HV.
When I turn it on I can see the following lines when I look in the lenses:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lIpPLXATUA and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pl0xbx4OpE
I also made a movie on the diagnotics leds and the red led on the vertical board ( I think ) is switched on.

I removed port 3, but that didn't change anything.
Could some one help me getting this beast working again?

That is normal in the sense that your HV, H and V deflection are working, and there SHOULD be an image on the screen.
What you're seeing is the AKB line which is seen on all Barcos with no signal present.
Try video or Svideo input 1 or 2) to see if that works. You could have a problem on the RGB switcher card, or something's not right with the input. H and V sync cables reversed, the computer defaulted back to positive sync, or ?

Managed to get the setup screen up and running this morning. I bought the beamer with a defective port 3, but still have an BD 801s with a working port 3.
Can I use the 801s port 3 board in de 808? I will keep trying to get a picture through port 5 using powerstrip. I need to check my Moome box if it is set to the right sync but I can't seem to find the manual for the external moome box (DVI and component to VGA).

I have a space SMPS and a spare port 3 board and I tried both, but with every combination, the projector starts up, and then shuts down after about 10 seconds.. It does that 3 times after completely shutting down. Is this a familiar problem?

I thought the setup screen was working? Now the set is shutting down?
When the set shuts down like that, some fault in the set is triggering the shutdown. Most likely it is convergence tray, H or V board or SMPS related.
Before you start doing more stuff at random, is the red SF light on on the G2 board?

Ok. Tonight I compared the wirings of the boards to a picture I have taken earlier, and I accidently connected the port 3 board to the vertical board instead of the switcher board. Even with the wiring corrected, I still get the red led on the g2 diagnostics board turned on and the projector starts for 10 seconds, and then shuts down 3 times. Does this mean my vertical board is broken?

Yes, you smoked the V board. It will die instantly if you connected that wire incorrectly. I've got boards at $50 plus shipping.

I am hoping to get a board here in the Netherlands, because that might be faster.
I understand the same board is used in the Barco Graphics 801s, 808 and 808s models?

I just read that I could use a V board from a Barco Data 801s in a 808 graphics, but the blanking controls might not work.
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=922358
Partnumber from my 801s: R762269
Partnumber from my 808: R7622685
I this safe to do? Won't I break other boards?
I know for sure that I won't connect port 3 to this board again! In the mean while, if I can't find a V board somewhere here in holland, i'll order one from Curt.

I think that I have one but I'm not sure, I'll check availability tomorrow.
