Hi all,

I already have a thread on here about a potential rgb switch board issue for my barco 808s, but something new may be rearing it's head. As of last night, I can no longer get a signal source from some of my blu-ray discs to go to the projector as per the subject line. I can play a DVD through it, the menu shows up, etc. I haven't tried a game yet, since I don't really play those, and i've only tried to blu-rays, neither of which had been a problem before. I'll try some older ones today and see what happens.

My concern is that with the new law changes regarding third party converters and protection and all that hoopla, that Sony has now uploaded a patch that circumvents the HD Fury 2. Someone had posted a similar thread in the scaler thread topic back at the beginning of January, but there was never a response to him. If I'm not the only one having the issue, there could be something bigger. I really hope it's just attributed to that rgb board for the obvious reasons.

Any thoughts?

Definitely doesn't have anything to do with the third-party converter legal BS...

So, you can see your PS3 menus and play DVDs, but just can't play a Blu-ray? The most common reason that happens is that the PS3 is set to output 24hz on BD playback...

Settings -> Video Settings -> BD 1080p 24 Hz Output (HDMI) -> Make sure it's "OFF".

Thanks so very much. I must have messed around with it when i was working on resolution issues in general. You should start your own donation program for all the hjelp you've provided folks on this forum. Also, just an fyi - there's a company selling a g-70 on ebay right now for about 100 bucks. Not sure if I can post the link here. The member is cieinternational . I'm watching it... might be cheaper to buy it that to replace the RGB board in my Barco... ha ha.
