I'm looking for 2 or 3 500gb IDE hard drives. Must be IDE, must be 500gb.

Anyone got a cheap source?

Cheap, no, $75 and up based on shopbot.ca

Why not just get a SATA controller card and a few 500GB SATA drives? NCIX usually has one on sale for $39 each week.

It's not for a PC. It's for the DVD/PVR's

That's why it MUST be IDE

USB cabinets could still be IDE. Maybe you could find some and butcher.

$52

Like old ram prices are going up on these for the high capacity for older formats

I would get a 2TB SATA drive and one of these little adapters. It might even be cheaper.

You could but it wouldn't work. This is a Magnavox DVD recorder max 500gb IDE drive, it won't work with IDE to SATA adaptors, from what I have read. I'll stick with the 500gb IDE drives.
