Hi, I’m In a presses of rebuilding my Home Theater. I’ve got a good deal on Runco VX-1000C with Lamp out of Life, (Exceeds 2000 Hrs) and PJ is in protection Mode. I replace the Lamp with New One. Some how got the information how to Reset the lamp. But it didn’t work.

My question is Its is necessary to Connect the PJ. With Processor to reset the lamp? I do not have the CommLink cable yet still searching for it any one can help me to Fine the Commlink Cable or just tell me the pin configuration so I can built my own.

Thanks

Finally I have got it working, the Pj is now reset and working, to reset the PJ i have to open the top cover and there is a keypad underneath which have a combination of buttons to reset the PJ. i have done it.

Now my other problem is still exist the Comlink adopter that i have order, ( as per above link ) is not working with the outboard processor. Desperately need the pinout for Comlink Adopter ( DB9 to RJ11 (4pin) )

Not to be an a**hole, but why are you spending so much time and effort on this PJ? If you bought it without a working bulb, I hope your "good deal" was under $100 because if not, it was not a good deal, you got ripped off!

That is a VERY old (technology evolution wise). It has horrible contrast ratio: <1000:1. Better 720p PJs can be had for <$500. for instance a Samsung SPH710AE projector refurb with a new bulb is $500 these day (not great contrast ratio but way better than that Runco and a better overall image quality). The good DC3 PJ are still in the $500 or so range also.

I just don't see how this thing can be worth any effort, save your time and money, unload it on someone else who is impressed by the Runco badge and get yourself a better projector for $500!
