Yes, it would work... Optoma is just doing the same thing these guys are doing:
http://www.curtpalme.com/3DGamer.shtm
They're just adapting "3D ready" (which is to say 120hz input compatible) DLP projectors to be able to handle the frame-packing used in 3D games. The Optoma piece looks like it will handle 3D Blu-ray in addition to gaming (something the 3D Gamer will no currently do), but no doubt it does it at a much higher pice.
EDIT - Just found an MSRP of $499... So, yeah - just a touch pricey compared to the 3D Gamer.

So it would work on crt if you're running 120 hz ?

You could dig through the 3D Gamer thread, but I think the first problem you'd run into is the digital/analog converter (HD Fury, Moome) needs to be able to run 720p/120hz, and I'm not sure they well. You might also run into the potential problem of not being able to adjust the glasses sync... You wouldn't need to with DLP, I don't think, but with CRT, you might need it.
But, I don't know much about it, so...

No. I do not believe you could use that product with a CRT.
It uses DLP-Link to synchronize the glasses with the display. That mechanism uses a white flash between frames that the glasses receive (while both eyes are blocked out).
For CRT the only really viable option is active shutter glasses that use IR (or conceivably RF) to stay in sync with the display.

Check out the photos in gallery from the link this takes an ir emitter so I would say it will work fine.1280X720p@120hz is 162Mhz
1920X1080p@60hz is 173Mhz.
so if the moome and hdfury can do 1080p it can do 720p @ 120
