I need to get the lenses off my 9500LC. I have tried 2 auto supply stores and 2 hardware stores. I guess I can order on line but I have time this weekend.

Good luck finding one by itself. I know you can buy a set a Lowes that has one in it or Sears too, but individually, no dice.

To get the lenses off a 9600LC or to take apart the lenses from a 8500LC???
You should not take those lenses apart. You will be opening up a can-o-worms.

Chip, are you saying I do not need to remove the Lens to get the tubes out? I am working beyond my comfort zone tearing down the full 9500lc to replace the back plane.

I love the Bondhus T-Handled ones. I have several I use for just this exact thing.
You need to go to a more specialty tool or shop supply store. If you're not near a major metropolitan area or anywhere with a lot of manufacturing, you'll likely be out of luck and will have to make due with whatever you find at an average hardware story which will be a poor substitute, or be patient and order online.

I have to stop posting in my sleep. It's been hell week around here with all the snow, wind and cold.
What you are looking for is also available in 1/4" drive so that you can use a extension and ratchet.
You can also get them in the tip only form that you install in a magnetic tip 1/4" nut driver.

got one the old fashion way this morning - borrowed from a neighbor. he still has my pruner, now at least I have a hostage.
I got the hole projector apart, man that back plan is tough, you really need to strip it. now off to read Mike's maintance thread, as long as I have the whole thing apart.

Mcmaster Carr works. Sears also sells allen key sockets one off as well which work great too. Throw your bit extension on and your good to go.
