|

For some reason on my NEC 9PG+ when I output 1920x1080 from my computer it cuts of the left and right of the image. It doesn't seem to "fit" on the tube. No matter what I do with the blanking or shift it doesn't fit. Is there something else I should do? Perhaps adjust the amplitude?
I did a full hardware calibration per the tutorial on this site and it image is pretty good. I set it up for 4:3 ratio, could this be the problem?
Also, anyone know why my corners and image are a little bit blurry when viewing a computer at 1024x768. No matter what I do it never seems to be focused. Any tips would help. The projector has about 5500 hours on it so that might have something to do with it, but the tubes are in pretty good shape with no burn on the red and very minimal burn on the green and blue.
Finally, for some reason the image (green tube only) jumps up and down slightly when viewing the menus in 480i. Anyone know what could do this? Is it just the RGBHV cable making a poor connection?
oh and for some reason my projector "clicks" every so often (every 10-20 minutes). I'm not sure why. Sounds like it is coming from the power supply. I noticed it does it even when it is off sometimes. Any ideas on this one.
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm hoping to have a pretty awesome setup once I figure all this out. Hopefully I can do 1080i/p so I can hookup HDMI to the projector, but I don't want to spend the money if I can't get it to fit on the tube using my computer.
Thanks!

Your front and back porch settings need tweaking within the computer. Do a search here regarding that, I'm not a computer guy). but... 1080p is far too high a resolution for that set. Run 1080i or 720p, and it will look better.

ok cool. I'll have to try that. Does anyone sell hdmi input cards for the ISS-6020 switcher anymore? I have one and run everything through it using RGBHV input cards.
Thanks. Also, 1080P seems to look ok on my unit without major blurring or loss of detail. It just doesnt fit. I'll try the settings you recommended and maybe get some kind of HDMI input card and run my video card to DVI -> HDMI -> RGBHV (into ISS 6020) -> RGBHV to projector. Any HDMI to RGB card you can highly recommend. I'm kinda cheap, but am willing to spend a little if it makes a big difference.
