Maybe these are rare 1208s LC versions. What model is marked to on that back plate sticker?

Barco made few of these, maybe some customer wanted shorter throw and cheaper tubes.

Barco put together machines the way the customer wanted, I have a former SEOS BG808 that has MEC high resolution tubes, lens flapping, and high resolution neckboards/video chain instead of the standard lower res components and Sony tubes. If a customer wanted an odd configuration, Barco did it.

I agree with Elaine on this one. Barco did many "one/several off" sets for various customers. Over the years I have seen and seen posted all kinds of variations on the standard Barco builds. Are the lenses the 9" HD10 series? The reason I ask is that having LC optics is really the only reason I can see to build a 1209s with 8" tubes. The 1208s is identical to the 1209 other than tubes and lenses (the neck-boards have the tube socket rotated 180 degrees for the 8" tubes but otherwise are identical).

hi the lenses are HD300.

do you think that socket/amp are the same on theses 3 projecteors?
808S,1208S,1209S ?the only difference betwen 1209S,808s'sockets
are the rotationof the socket ?

some people tell yes some people tell no...ref is R722746

the seller of these machines is an administration.i thinks that they wanted to make savings....

If your neck board looks like the image attached then it is a 120MHz Barco neck board. There are three versions of this board where the socket is different to support 9" MEC tubes, 8" MEC tubes and 8" Sony tubes. Other than the socket the board performance is identical. I have had all three versions. The one pictured is the 8" version from a 1208s/2 I used to have. I have owned all three at one point or another.

Yes just make sure you are using the right neckboard for the tubes you are using. They should plug right in and work. I actually used the MEC 8" 120 MHz boards in a Barco Data 808s which originally came with the 75 MHz boards. Your bigger problem is the Sony tubes have different hardware mount points so you will need to replace the blocks of aluminium that the tubes mount to (I have no idea what the official name is). But the P16s won't fit Sony mountpoints. Also the P16s will be mounted in LC hardware and that won't fit the 8" set so you will have to cut out the tubes and mount them in normal air coupled hardware or try to mod the 808 chassis to except 9" LC hardware.

PN correct is R762746
It's a very rare 120 Mhz version for 8" Mec tubes (BG808)

PN for 8" Sony Tubes (BG808s) is R762721

PN for 9" tubes in BG1209s (I think P19lcp's or Lug's) is R762839

All appear similar but have pinout different so each version works with a correct tube only.

You said that the lenses are HD300.

These lenses are for LC tubes, then the p16 tubes in your 1209s have LC chambers.

Barco Graphics 808 have no LC chambers because is a AC projector (HD8's lenses).

Pinout of the R762746 are fully compatible with 180DVB22 and P16LNP tubes but you must make a big mod for mount LC tubes+LC chambers

Can you show some photos? You must to purchase these 1209s? Are you sure that tubes are P16?

Many people would to convert AC ---> LC (see link in my signature)

You want LC --->AC Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

However it's possible. You must disassemble housings of the 180dvb22 and LC chambers of the P16.

If you want to put 120 mhz neckboards into BG808 I think that you must make other little upgrade:
1) Software BG808s
2) three boards that you have in second 1209s

p.s. I seek a 1209s without tubes .... pm for you Wink
