Yesterday I fired up the Pj mentioned above that I had stored for about a year.
I want to sell it so I let it run for a couple of hours. All good, I was quite impressed with
the PQ without any setup whatsoever.

Today I did the same just to make sure and after an hour or so I left the Garage to get something
to drink.( pretty hot day!) When I came back the picture wasn`t impressive anymore.

It was blurrytown. E-focus and sub focus are doing eh... a little, eh... nothing, ehhh something??

Did I fried the focusboard?, the stk`s on it? I dont have a lot of experience with Nec`s and I
appreciate the wisdom of the Pro`s here.

Any opinions are more than welcome.

Cheers

Markus

All three tubes are affected? Reconnect the plugs on the focus board.
Try to set focus via remote, if it not responds at all, then it is a big chance of board failure. However a serious board failure usually cause an error code and the set is shuting down.

I agree, it's most likely a bad focus board. I've got lots here.

Thank`s guys.

Yes, all three tubes are blurry. The green menu text is barely readable and looks like blobs.
No error code or shutdown.

Remote focus and sub focus are doing next to nothing.

Last year was a disaster business wise hence selling the projector. Who needs three Pj`s anyway?

I don`t want (can`t) spend money on this baby. (Mortgage)Embarassed

@Curt:

How much would a f board go for?

Cheers,

Markus
