Projector: NEC XG 1351LC manufactured April 1998.
Problem: Displays error code F 7 after shutting down within 10 seconds when no input attached and/or when input from satellite set top box connected at 1080i via component to VGA converter. However when attached to computer at 1440X900 60HZ displays computer output without shutting down. However the green tube is out of focus at right and left side of screen. The green tube also is very "noisy". No amount of focus adjustment corrects this problem. The red and blue tubes are not affected.
Your help requested.
Regards,
H. Khan

You most likely have a bad focus board, however I'll bet that's an F9 error code, not an F7. I can repair the board if you want to send it in.

Cheers!

Yes, it was the Focus Board. Everything works fine now with new Focus Board. Thanks for help.
