|
|
I have a NEC 9PG+ and I'm following the setup instructions here:
http://www.curtpalme.com/NECPG_MechSetup5.shtm
For some reason my blue is pretty much solid, unlike my red and green. I'm trying to center the image and get it all set up. Why is the blue so intense and how do I turn it down?
Here are some pics:

I don't think this is a neck board problem, since the video amps are on the video output card in the card cage. Try going into the color balance menu and see if the blue will stabilize. Otherwise it's most likely the video output board.

What Curt said.
Which is, turn the AKB on, let it run for a while, then turn it back off, see if that tames the blue, especially if this happens from turn on, it might be the AKB trying to even out the wear on the blue by overdriving it, that's how AKB does it
And you can check the electronic blue drive setup, but do NOT turn any pots inside the machine. With NEC's its *possible* to get them screwed up beyond repair by turning pots...

Awesome. Thanks for all the help. I have a pretty decent image now in 480i so I'm happy.
