It's time to do away with the 20 year old VGA extender cable I've been using causing horrible ghosting/reflections so I need a little help on the best option. I currently have a 6' VGA extended(no ferrite) plugged to a 5' VGA-5BNC cable with ferrite and gold plated ends connected to the HTPC. I've plugged the VGA-5BNC breakout cable direct from the PC to Projector and the ghosting is gone but I'm not willing to hold the computer over my head to watch a movie as the cable is too short.

- Will a new VGA extender cable with ferrite eliminate the ghosting?
- Is a ferrite magnet a must have on a cable as I've seen many breakout cables without them?
- Should I just buy a 12' VGA-5BNC cable or use my current VGA-BNC, connect a Male BNC to Female BNC Connector to each wire, and plug these into it:

Will I gain anything in IQ having 5 individual strands or will the extra connections cause more problems?

-Greg
