Hi guys,

I need your help with the following problem.

I have an AppleTV and a "Sony PFM-42V1" Plasma TV that doesn't support HDMI. Therefore I am using a HDMI to DVI converter. Picture quality is great, but unfortunately my TV doesn't support HDCP, so I can't watch any movies...

Now I am wondering if this HD Fury could solve my problems?

My main concern is that there might be resolution issues with my Sony TV. These are the specs:

I have to admit that I my technical know how is very limited, so I am not sure if it means that it can support "720p (1280x720) and 1080p (1920x1080)" as required?

Thank you so much for your help. It's highly appreciated.

All the best,

The Fury 1 you linked to should work but the display looks like it only goes to 1080i and not 1080p regardless it should work just fine. Then again I hit the rum an hour ago and I hate reading manuals............ Wink

Also be aware the Fury 1 might also be discontinued and out of stock in the US/CA very soon ! Order now if you need it plus the price is hard to beat.

Hi Tom, hi all,

thank you so much for your answer. I was investigating a little and called the Sony support.

They said my RGB has only a picture resolution of 852 x 480.

Does this mean I couldn't use the HDFury 1 (HDFury 2)? Or would it just be a slightly worse picture quality?

Any other product that could work?

Thank you so much for your help. I am really desperate because I neither can afford to get a new TV nor do I want to throw out my Apple TV.

All the best & merry Christmas,
mgd

Hi guys,

any idea how to make my AppleTV work? I am really getting desperate as for the first time in my life I feel like a technical problem can't get fixed (except by purchasing a new TV...).

THX a lot for your help,
mgd
