I just went through the calibration process for the first time and feel like overall it looks better than the default setting. One issue I have is that the raw data shows decent delta E values for all IRE levels (except 0) and decent RGB levels, however the luminance is off and so is the gamma. I adjusted the brightness and contrast as directed, and nothing really changed. Setting the white level, I have a value of about 35 ftL for my Panasonic Plasma tv, and adjusting the black level I can barely see 2% above black. I didn't get into adjusting the RGB High end and low end as my colors and delta E were already good, and i have to go into the service menu to do this. Is this all I can do without some sort of Gamma Boost device, or would I have to go into the service menu and adjust the Cuts and Drives for Red and Blue?

My tv is a Panasonic Plasma TH-42PX80U, and the results are attached.

Thanks
Brad

First thing you need to do is calibrate it in cinema mode. That's the only mode that will yield a decent gamma curve.
