Hello there from Glasgow, I'm new to all this so my question is probably a very basic one. I've used sony 1042's for some years so I'm pretty competent in setting these up but I've just acquired a Sony G70 and I'm having problems entering the 'service adjustment mode'. I've followed the instructions in the installation manual but nothing comes up on screen. I'd be grateful for any advice.
Best
Patrick

Enter, Enter, Up arrow, Down arrow, Enter.

Right?

Well that was easy! That's one one I could have handled. You've come to the right place for advice on the G70. I owned one for a couple of years and loved it. It's a great machine.

Hi, I inherited an old blurred photocopied manual with the projector which made it appear that the arrows between the;
Enter, Enter, Up arrow, Down arrow, Enter, were also part of the code, so;
Enter, Right arrow, Enter, Right arrow, Up arrow, Right arrow, Down arrow, Right arrow, Enter!
I've now downloaded the manual from the website and now all is clear.
The good news is, I can now see the the total hours used are 1922 and the tubes seem clean, bright and clear of any burn-in.
No doubt I'll have further questions to post.
Thanks and best
Patrick

Welcome to the ranks of happy G70 owners. It also happens to be a very stable machine if you do your setup well.
